Sydney born and raised, Shane Benson has carved out a name for himself as a hard working & talented drummer on the Australian music circuit. Now based in London, with a busy schedule and a growing number of gigs and studio session work, Shane’s confidence allows him to easily adapt and perform in many musical situations. As a touring session drummer and Musical Director he has performed internationally with various artists such as Lastlings, Rüfüs Du Sol, DMAS, Dakota (UK), Nathan Ball (UK), AJ Mitchell (US) Samantha Jade, Aston Merrygold (UK), Taylor Henderson, Justice Crew, Kim Churchill, Reece Mastin to name a few. He is highly proficient in Live electronics / Triggered drums, Backing Vocals, as well as building live shows in Ableton and running backing tracks

 He was a member of the X Factor Australia house band for 6 years, and worked as both a percussionist and drummer in the live band on The Voice Australia. Other TV appearances include countless performances on Sunrise, The Morning Show, and other Prime time TV shows. He has had the opportunity to perform with many international artists during this time, including Zara Larsson, Macklemore, Mike Posner, Hilary Duff, Rachel Platten, Katy Perry, Karmin, Emelie Sande, MKTO, James Blunt, Dane Rumble & also prominent Australian artists Delta Goodrem, Kylie Minogue, Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian, At Sunset (Lynk) & Nathaniel Willemse. 

His skills have been recognised in the industry and being an in demand session player has secured him endorsements with DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Evans Drum Heads and Vic Firth Sitcks.
